Quiz- Tuesday December 4 on these topics:
Grade 5- Represent and describe whole numbers to 1 000 000.
Use estimation strategies in problem solving.
Use multiplication and division facts to 9 X 9.
Use mental math for multiplication
Multiply 2 digit by 2 digit numbers.
Grade 6- Represent and describe whole numbers greater than 1 000 000.
Solve problems involving whole numbers.
Determine multiples and factors of numbers less than 100.
Identify prime and composite numbers
Solve problems using multiples and factors.
We worked co-operatively on our math centers to review number sense, place value, multiplication and division through games and problem solving. Ask me about my favorite centre so far.

We worked on our online research for our Souper Stars related health project. Some of our topics are online safety, nutrition, etiquette and physical activity. Next week we will finish up this project and share information with each other.
We continued on the Tale of Despereaux and created character maps for some of the secondary characters in the story like Princess Pea, Uncle and Gregory the jailer. We chose specific character trait adjectives for each character and supported our choices with evidence from the novel. We also wrote a detailed prediction for what we think will happen in the last part of the book.

We carefully read and analyzed science cartoons to highlight some of the important facts and issues from our Wetlands study.

We created review pages for each of our regions including:
