September 24th to 28th

Welcome to Room 14! 
We have been focusing on several learning intentions this week:


  • Responsible Citizenship with a focus on Terry Fox and goal setting
  • Making positive change in our community with a focus on Terry Fox and his desire to change the world
  • Understanding what a wetland is, types of wetlands, and layers in wetlands
  • Understanding place values to millions and billionsFocusing on using context cues to understand new vocabulary

  • We are going to be learning how to make sandwiches
Other
  • We had a practise fire drill today
  • We participated in the Terry Fox Run
  • Orange Shirt day is this Monday- October 1st
Project: The Dot
Message:  Believe in yourself 


  • Created an image starting with only "one dot" on our papers
  • Create a dot into whatever we wanted, and let our intuition guide us
  • We started right away with permanent markers since there could be no "mistakes" in this project
